Hey there, I’m Jen, the founder of Awesome AIs
Origin Story
In early 2023 a co-worker of mine introduced me to ChatGPT. At the time I didn’t think it was that big of a deal because all he showed me was how it could answer random questions in amusing ways. I told him I’d look into it more if I ever thought of a business use case for it. Fast forward a few months, and I used ChatGPT to write a formal letter for work. I had never done a letter of that type before and had no idea how to even start. The result blew my mind. Nobody I showed it to thought that an AI had written it, with most thinking it was my boss’ work. It was at that moment that I realized how much of an impact AI was going to have on our everyday lives.
ChatGPT, of course, has well-documented limitations. These prompted me to begin investigating other AI tools for everyday use. As I dove down the rabbit hole, I became frustrated at the lack of trustworthy information about artificial intelligence tools- most articles I found were sponsored in some way, either directly by being on a tool’s blog, or indirectly through affiliate marketing. I found very few independent, reliable sources that could help me on my AI investigative journey.
And thus, Awesome AIs was born. Awesome AIs is my way of solving a problem while contributing to the discussion in a meaningful way. It allows me to combine my passions for informational writing and technology together. I hope that one day this website can be a trusted resource for everyone wondering how AI can help them and what tools they should use.
Human and AI Content
Awesome AIs will always provide independent, unbiased opinions about artificial intelligence tools and topics. Every single “Reviews” tagged post is personally written by me with little to no AI influence. I do still use Grammarly (free) for grammar editing, and SEO optimization tools with AI components for keyword placement. I also use AI in the creation of FAQ sections on each post. Don’t believe me? Run any of my Review posts through an AI detector!
All other content on Awesome AIs has varying amounts of artificial intelligence used in its creation. Here are some examples of how AI is used on this website:
- Images other than screenshots and logos are AI-generated.
- Articles with purely informational/educational content are AI-generated.
- Informational/educational content in listicle articles is AI-generated.
- Opinions about AI tools and their use are often AI-generated, but heavily reviewed and edited by me.
This is a website about AI tools and how they can be used in everyday life, so I hope it’s not a surprise that much of this content is written by AI! All articles on this website will have an AI disclaimer on the bottom detailing how much content was AI produced, including the tool used for production. I want to be transparent because I don’t think we should be hiding the fact that we’re using AI, and seeing AI in action is helpful for people who are looking for examples of AI use.
